In a time where complaints about the lack of opportunities for actors of color, particularly in film, continue to rise, it appears Black actors and actresses made a special point to attend the NAACP Image Awards this past Saturday, recognizing it as a place where their talent is always welcome and celebrated.</p>
Of course there's always a good turnout at the annual award show, but this year seemed to have more star power than ever, which may just be a testament to how many great shows and movies with Black stars came out this past year, or a show of solidarity with the plight of people of color on screen and off. Either way, the red carpet was most definitely something to see. Take a look at the highlights.
