A lot of people go to nutritionists just for what they think is going to be an easy A (or at least an A-). In other words, they think their nutritionist is going to say, “Wow! You’re a nearly perfect eater! I don’t even know why you came in here, but if you <em>really </em>want tips, I’ll just give you a few—but you really don’t need them.” It’s kind of like the college student who expects to ace their Freshman year Spanish class because they did well in high school Spanish and finds out there is a <em>lot </em>they didn’t know.
If you are on your way to see a nutritionist, don’t be surprised if you leave with far more homework than you bargained for. In fact, don’t be shocked if you leave there with instructions to entirely change your diet. Here is why seeing a nutritionist can be a reality check.
